Wear-resistant steel grinding balls are a kind of grinding ball medium used in ball mills. Wear-resistant steel balls are widely used in ball mills for the industries of metallurgical, mining, cement, building materials, thermal power generation, flue gas desulfurization, coal water slurry, pellets, and so on.

In order to meet the different production needs of users, there are now many types and models of ball mills. The main substances often added to steel grinding balls are carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, etc., among which chromium and molybdenum play a very important role in steel balls, which determine the hardness and wear resistance of steel balls.

Steel balls on the market are generally divided into two types: casting and forging balls:

Casting steel balls: The steel ball manufacturer fully melts the scrap steel, scrap iron, and other waste materials, adds an appropriate amount of precious metal alloy to the furnace for chemical composition tempering during the melting process, and then pours qualified molten iron into the steel ball mold or the steel ball production line mold.

Forged steel balls are steel balls produced by steel ball manufacturers by direct high-temperature heating and then forging.
