The performance requirements of large steel castings for different purposes are also different. The factors that determine the performance of large steel castings depend in large part on the heat treatment process.
The heat treatment processes of large steel castings include annealing, normalizing, normalizing and tempering. These three methods yield different mechanical properties:
1. For large steel castings whose shape is not too complicated and the wall thickness is not too thick, the normalizing is most commonly used.
2. For steel castings with complex shapes, liable to deformation and cracks, annealing is more suitable.
3. The normalizing and tempering is for relatively thicker large steel castings. The purpose of tempering is to eliminate the stress of large steel castings and avoid deformation and cracking.
The performance of the large steel castings processed by these three different heat treatment processes is different, choosing a suitable heat treatment process should consider actual operation requirements.
When CHAENG receives order for slag pot from customers, our engineers will analyze drawings carefully and communicate with users to fully know about their requirements on performance.
1. Numerically simulate the casting process by means of InteCast software, to optimize every step of process.
2. Base on the requirements of customers and structural characteristics of slag pot, CHAENG chooses appropriate heat treatment process to improve the performance of slag pot.
Advantages of CHAENG slag pot:
1.The slag pots in the market can be used 450-600 times generally, while CHAENG slag pot can ensure 6000 times of usage frequency;
2. The first maintenance time is 2-3 months later than peers.
3. The key parts can reach level-2 testing standards of GB7233-2007
4. Smooth inner wall of slag pot, to avoid adhering slag during operation.
