Recently, China Foundry Association has conducted research on the casting process and environmental protection measures of many foundry manufacturers. The efforts and achievements of Great Wall Steel Casting (CHAENG) in environmental protection have been highly recognized and praised by the Association. 

From the beginning of the establishment of the factory, CHAENG has positioned “high-end casting” as the development concept. Over the years, it has continuously followed the trend of green development of the casting industry and actively explored in technology, equipment, management and culture, and formulated and implemented a series of effective environmental protection measures.

1. Supported by technology to achieve "green casting"

(1) Use CAE casting process analysis software to improve the product quality, and also reduces the waste and the consumption.

(2) The introduction of water glass sand casting technology not only reduces the waste sand discharge, but also improves the used-sand recovery rate (the used sand recovery rate is over 95%), and also reduces the energy consumption of the sand mixer and shortens the operation time.

2. Introduce environmental protection equipment and cut off the source of dust

(1) The introduction of advanced shot blasting equipment effectively reduces the smoke and dust generated during the cleaning and finishing process.

(2) Repair and replace the dust bag in time to ensure the safety and reliability of the operation of the dust removal device.

(3) A set of dust collection equipment is installed in the area of the cutting riser to make the smoke and dust discharged in an orderly manner.

(4) A set of dust collecting equipment is installed in the cleaned shot blasting area, and the smoke and dust generated by the casting process is collected by a mobile collecting hood.

(5) Introduce multi-functional sprinklers to ensure that there is no dust on the roads; greening the open ground of the plant area to improve the environment of the plant.

3. Improve production processes and improve production management system

(1) Move the sand mixing and cleaning operations originally carried out outdoors into the workshop to prevent outdoor dust.

(2) Check the bag type dust collectors of the smelting system and the cleaning system to ensure that the dust removal device reaches the standard operation.

(3) Establish and improve the environmental management system and occupational health and safety management system.

The products of CHAENG, such as grinding roller, girth gear, rotary kiln tyre, slag pot, rolling mill, etc., also play an important role in promoting the green development of steel, building materials and other industries.
